International management and technology consultancy BearingPoint has booked record revenue for the fourth year in a row, with the current outlook of the business hinting at yet another year of growth.
In its 2024 financial year, BearingPoint recorded €1.069 billion in revenue, realised through the delivery of more than 2,000 consulting projects in 30+ countries around the globe. The consulting firm also generates revenues through digital products and solutions. Group-wide headcount grew to nearly 6,200 people.
Matthias Loebich, Managing Partner of BearingPoint, said the firm – which last year joined the B Corp movement – is proud to have booked robust growth in a year when sluggish consulting demand meant most of its competitors faced a dip in their fee income.
“2024 was again a successful year for BearingPoint. Not only did we solidify our €1 billion revenue milestone, we outperformed the market and continued to build upon our strong foundation for sustained growth,” said Loebich. “We welcomed new talent, grew our client base, and pushed forward in key areas like data analytics and artificial intelligence, sustainability, and cybersecurity.”
In its consulting and technology business, BearingPoint expanded its offerings across industries and service lines, including in AI, which was a key area of investment. The firm launched new AI-driven initiatives that support clients in areas such as automating workflows, optimizing decision-making, and enabling AI-assisted customer interactions, among others.
The acquisition of US-based Enterprise Consulting enhanced the firm’s capabilities in IFS, which are offered through the Arcwide label (a joint venture with IFS). The deal helped drive 35% growth for Arcwide in 2024.
In its Products business, BearingPoint launched its Persona Engine, a platform that leverages AI to transform customer data into actionable insights, and expanded its solutions for demand forecasting (DemandSens) and asset-based funding (Assets & Funding Management).
Team development
In its annual report, BearingPoint said that while growing its team, the firm at the same time also managed to realise a number of highlights in its diversity goals. 44% of the 1,200 new colleagues hired globally in 2024 were female, while female representation in senior leadership roles ended the year at 21%.
In terms of career development, more than 1,400 people were promoted, and more than 1,800 professionals participated in firm-wide training programs. “Through initiatives such as the Be.Oxford Academy, the Female Leadership Program, and the Yale Leadership Program, BearingPoint fosters leadership development across all levels,” Loebich noted.
Outlook
Looking into 2025, the Managing Partner said that BearingPoint plans to outperform the market again. With bookings of nearly €1.3 billion, the firm is underway to achieve that goal.
“Our journey continues to be guided by resilience, innovation, and a deep commitment to our values,” said Loebich. “With our strong team, innovative mindset, and client trust, we are well-prepared to embrace new opportunities and drive long-term success.”
