FTI Consulting has boosted its Construction, Projects & Assets practice in the UAE with Stuart McIvor, who joins as a Managing Director.
Based out of Dubai, Stuart McIvor brings nearly two decades of experience in the construction and engineering sectors, and a wealth of expertise in forensic delay analysis, dispute resolution, claims management and planning services on major projects.
A recognised construction delay expert witness, McIvor has provided objective and reliable testimony under cross-examination, playing a pivotal role in arbitration processes. He specializes in offering expert, claims, and advisory services for major construction projects.
Throughout his career, McIvor has worked with a range of stakeholders (lawyers, counsel, employers, contractors and consultants) on projects across the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Projects include commercial buildings, schools, defence facilities, nuclear power plants, rail and metro stations, marine ports, airports, oil & gas facilities, sports stadiums, highways, and bridges.
At FTI Consulting, a global consulting firm with eight offices in the Middle East, McIvor will continue to support clients with expert testimony and assist them in navigating construction and engineering delays, program preparation and time and risk assessments.

Before joining FTI Consulting, McIvor served as a Director and Head of Delay in the Middle East for Capital Consulting International (CCi). Before that, he worked at HKA and Navigant (now: Guidehouse) in the Middle East, and Laing O’Rourke in Europe and Australia, among others.
